Attractions
The Flamingo Sanctuary in Sint Willibrordus is between Weg Naar Westpunt and Weg Naar Coral Estate, 10 minutes from the villa. Entry is free.
Christoffel National Park is located on the west end of the island. Birds, mountains, hiking and history. There is an entry fee.
Fort Beekenburg, to the east, is a former military post. It is fun to explore the grounds and nearby quarantine building. It is free.
Hato Caves, near the airport, are the largest and most prominent caves on the island. There is an entry fee.
Queen Juliana Bridge is a four lane bridge that crosses over Willemstad offering outstanding elevated views.
The Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge in Willemstad is a floating bridge that opens and closes for boat traffic. You can cross it from Punda to Otraband.
The Curacao Sea Aquarium is fun for young and old alike. There are sea lion shows and dolphin swims available plus a variety of other exhibits.
Shete Boka Park is a series of natural attractions on the western end of the island consisting of several "bocas" or sea mouths. There is an entry fee
Sunsets
Beautiful sunsets are found all along the southern shores of Curacao and they are most definitely free and in abundance!
Watamula
Watamula is a large natural blowhole found on the northwestern shore of the island. There is scenic hiking or driving nearby.
Willemstad
Colorful and lively downtown Willemstad is fun for walking, shopping and eating. Be sure to check out the waterfront bars and restaurants especially along the ocean front.
